I have mentioned before on this thread that when I was the mascot of the club the pitch was the other way around with the one goal in front of a large gas storage holder. I do not know the year the holder was removed and a block of flats build in its place, but I came across this photo of the Queens Coronation party held at the Rec in 1953 that shows the storage holder.
