I was contacted by the Devon FA and asked if I could be the official photographer for the Devon Disability County Cup Finals Day which was being held at Coach Road on the 12th June 2022. I was more than happy to offer my services.

Is football really about players being sold for millions of pounds? Players getting paid millions just to kick a football ? that is not my sort of football and the very good thing about this wonderful game is it is there for everyone to participate in. You do not need to be David Beckham, or David Seaman, you just need some football boots and some mates to play with.

Today was a first for me; I was humbled by all the players who played in today’s cup finals. There were some very skilful players on display and others who made up for their lack of skill by doing their very best to play their part in the team.

No bad fouls, no decent and while there might have been some tears when a game was lost, on the whole they all played with smiles on their faces and all did themselves proud.

I was a very long day for me and it has taken some time to sort all the photos out, I also have come home as red as a beetroot, but I have had a wonderful day and I learnt a lot about this game that is very close to my heart. There are close to 200 photos on this thread, I found it hard not to put as many up as I dare, each and everyone in the photos are all heroes in my book.
