At this time of the year I often wish the football season was 52 weeks long. Mind you on dark wet and cold winter days, I often wish football was just a summer sport.
But as soon as one season comes to end, it’s not too long before teams start their training sessions again and play a number of pre-season friendlies. I have had a bit of time to think about next season and the games I will cover, but more about that when we are closer to the season starting.
Jake O'Donovan who is the Paignton Saints first team manager contacted me this morning and invited me along to their training session that was being taken by a qualified personal trainer.
Not something I normally do but at least it gave me the opportunity to use my new camera that I have bought to use during the new season. I had planned to carry on using the one I have been using and keep the new one just for my own personal use. But I know my keeper rate will be so much higher with the new one as it is the improved mark 2 version of the camera I have been using.
The Saints first team were made to work hard for a good hour by the qualified personal trainer. She had them grunting and puffing at times but she made it fun as well. The boys went into the sea afterwards for a dip, rather them then me.
