The day these pictures were taken we were in the middle of a heat wave. Therefore they do not show the ground in its best light sadly. It will be a great venue one that due to all the hard work put in by the club.
The club took over a very run-down agriculture field next to the Brixham Cricket club and set about turning it into a decent sports venue for the club. They were awarded a grant of £15,678 from the FA and Government’s Football Foundation, to be used for equipment and ground improvements. At the beginning of the 2020/2021 season the league permitted the club to play at their new facility the JC Park, sadly the league then decided that for the 2021/2022 season the club could no longer play at the JC Park due to not having changing rooms on site. The cricket club were unwilling to let the club use their facilities on a Saturday afternoon, so for the time being the club has to play at Furzeham Green.
The club is working hard to raise funds for the new changing rooms and have put in a planning application. There are some local objections from people living near by, but there are far more people supporting the application. The last few photos show the second pitch now it has been levelled and seeded; I expect by now with the recent rain, the grass has started to grow.
