Sidmouth 24th July 2009
We had not planned to go to Sidmouth today, we were only going to do our third National Trust property of the week, Killerton House. We did do that and I will post my thought and views, plus some pictures over the weekend. I decided to do Sidmouth thread first and while I have defended Torbay at times, I have always said the council need to spend money cleaning and smarting the place up, before they press on with any big ideas. Not sure what council Sidmouth comes under, but what a clean and tidy town it is, it has small and lovely streets and such a great seafront to walk along. Starting at the end where you can see the last remains of the Napoli, you walk to the end of the BEACH ( only in red as I keep getting told off by riveralou for spelling it wrong ;D) You can then go on a great path that is under the read sandstone cliffs to another great cove. I believe the path was made to celebrate the millennium. Every where you look is wonderful and so colourful flower beds and on top the cliff above the millennium walkway is a wonderful lay out of gardens. A joy to spend our last few hours of our day out today.
