Shaldon The Hidden Gems 31st August 2009
Carol sadly had to work today until 3pm, so we were unable to have a whole day out as we would have liked. I picked her up in the car and got her home and hosed her down and we then set off for Shaldon.
I wanted to get some pictures of those great cottages we found in the back streets the last time we were there. All my life I like most people I suspect,only ever went on the road through the village to get to the Ness and never really walked around Shaldon itself.
We were pleased to see the Shaldon Regatta was on and soon I found Budleighgull and we had a great chat about TUFC and the forum etc, top man and always willing to stop and have a chat and yes Dave R did stop talking at times and even listened. ;D
The first few shots are from the regatta and the rest are from our walk around the village. We got some fish and chips (well sausage and chips to be correct) and sat by the Bowling Green to eat them, what a great place Shaldon is, but you need money to own a place there.
