Buckland make their way back up the M5 to Bristol again this coming Sat and play Hallen.
Last year Buckland did well against Hallen with a 5-0 home win and a good 2-2 draw away.
Hallen sit in the bottom third of the table with Buckland just inside the top 10 after this weeks results. but we do have games in hand on teams around us in the league.
Jamie Micklewright will be looking to start after a good run out last night (Wednesday) for the reserves where he notched a double with one a long range effort that gave the keeper little chance. also Gavin Hammon came on against Longwell Green for the last 10 minutes and with his pace and Knack of scoring, has been missed for most of the season.all other team members are fit and are looking to start.

If Buckland are to get back to winning ways today, they will need to play far more as a team than they did last weekend. In their early pre season game that I watched, I felt they played like a team full of players just getting to know each other for the first time. That is how they looked at times in their last home match and it does not matter how hard any players work out on the pitch if they are on different wavelengths.
We know Buckland are a hard working side that has many good players in it, on paper one might expect them to win today and games against teams lower down in the table are the ones you must win, if you are going to have any chance of finishing in the top half of the table.
Danny Gaze is a great player in my book, but as the team captain I would like to see him being far more vocal on the pitch, the team needs its leader as these days you no longer hear that much being shouted out from the bench by the manager as was the case last season.
I too will be going up the M5 today to watch a match but sadly it won’t be this one, due to having a very busy weekend I won’t be able to put up a match report until at least Tuesday at the earliest.
Good luck to the lads today and I’m hoping for a good and convincing win.

Sometimes a team will get that all important slice of luck that means they will end up the winners and get all the points. Reading a report elsewhere it does sound as if Buckland played much better than they did in their last home match. I enjoyed the match I watched on Saturday and was made very welcome by the home team and made some good new friends. Only problem being this game was a three and a half hour drive from my home so not a ground I will get too all that often. I will be writing a match report on Tuesday and putting it up. I bet no one could guess what game i watched.
