Budleigh Salterton 17th July 2015
It’s been a bit of a stressful week trying to find a suitable car for Lyn, but we got there in the end. I can’t believe the rubbish cars that can be found on some garage forecourts; does anyone actually buy any of them? It’s not just the condition of many of the cars that were a problem; it was also the price they were asking.
After looking at so many and test driving a number of them, Lyn agreed to go and look at a car I found at Broadhempstead, not the easiest of places to drive too. As soon as she set eyes on it she loved it and as it was in very good condition and drove so well, the deal was done there and then.
We went and picked it up at 10am this morning and wanted to take it out on a good run, we also needed a much less stressful day than the others have been this week.
I have been to Budleigh Salterton many times and like the place, Lyn had never been there before so at least it was somewhere new for her to see. We could not find a decent café that did food, so went in the pub halfway down the main street. It’s a great place inside looking so very old and unspoiled unlike so many pubs are since they were modernised. Food was a bit pricey but when it’s good and enjoyable you never mind, its when you pay top prices and get served up with rubbish you get upset. The food was top drawer and would eat there again for sure.
I took my older HS50 camera with me that came back from the Fujifilm repair centre on Tuesday. I could not have been happier with the repair they did and now it’s all ready for the up and coming new football season.
