I must have been about fourteen years old when I first went to the Totnes fair and until today that was the one and only time I had ever been. I think one of the main reasons is that it was always held on a week day, maybe a Friday but on a day I was always working.
I’m not sure when the show was moved to a Sunday, but judging by the amount of people at the show today; it was a very good move. I drove with Lyn to the car boot sale field on the Totnes Road just up from Blagdon. There were able to park and ride for free to the show.
There was a very large crowd of people waiting to pay and go in, but we were both soon inside the show ground on what turned out to be a very hot and sunny afternoon. The site is very large and it takes a good while to walk around and see everything.
We enjoyed our time at the show and when we got back to the car park our free bus was waiting to take us back to our car on the edge of Paignton.
