As I always get up very early in the mornings, I thought I would try and get some good shots of some big waves in the Bay. Today storm Brian was meant to be creating monster waves but to be honest the sea looked more like a duck pond.
I am sure weather forecasters now just air on the side of caution as far as storms go but by Torbay standards storm Brian has been a bit of a non event. I had to laugh when I checked out of local paper online when I read the report of giant waves hitting our seafronts.
Yes it has been a bit windy with a few heavy rain showers and I expect storm Brian has caused some big problems in other areas but here in the Bay we seemed to have escaped the worst of it.
With no big waves on offer I decided to do a shoot of our harbour and Fairy Cove as the cove is a place strangely I have never visited. The tide was in so I was only able to view the cove from the path; it looked smaller that I expected it to.
I always enjoy early morning walks when the rest of the world are still in bed, a time when you seem to have the place all to yourself. I was able to enjoy a good forty five minutes rain free, but boy did the heavens open up when I got back into my car.
