Torbay’s third air show and there are more to come and after attending the first two, did I really want to go to this one? That was the question I asked myself this morning after completing another six day working week.
But I walked into town from my home and was so glad I made the right choice to be there supporting the best event ever to be staged in Paignton. It is enough to fill you with tears just seeing our town overflowing with people, the whole seafront packed along with the beach and so many people and children in the water.
It was like the good old days when it seemed the whole country would come to Paignton for their holidays, what a fantastic venue we have for such a great event. The weather sure played its part over the weekend, everything was just perfect and I felt so proud to say I live here.
No things are not perfect, we do have so many things to moan about such as the state Oldway is in, the fear of a eleven story tower block on Torquay harbour side, but for four glorious hours that was all forgotten.
Four hours that just flew by if you excuse the pun, the whole event is so well organised and has to be the biggest draw to the Bay of any other past events. Everyone here just to enjoy themselves and I am sure they all did.
So well done Torbay Council for providing our wonderful air show, well done everyone for coming along and supporting it, roll on next year for the Torbay Air Sow 2019.
