For most of my working life I have been a driver in one form or another as I could never work indoors in a shop or a factory. Being out on the road gives you a sense of freedom and being your own boss and one good thing, you never end up clock watching.
Even doing the same routes the day will always be different and so will be the views in our ever changing weather and seasons. Lustleigh is one such place I deliver to each day, fist call in the village the Cleave Pub and then the Primrose Tea Rooms.
Driving a long wheeled based Mercedes Sprinter around the village can be a pain at times; it is a well visited place by drivers who do not know how to drive in lanes. Still it adds to all the fun even more so when I attempt to back the van down the very steep slope beside the tea rooms.
Being a Monday the village was very empty today and I decided to take a very short break from my work and take a few shots of some of the buildings that are around the green opposite the church using my phone.
There are many more great buildings in the village to photograph and one of these fine days I will spent a whole day there. Being a big fan of disused railway lines. I was delighted to find an old railway bridge. The Lustleigh old station is still standing and was converted into a home many years ago. As you drive into the village you can see it on your left.
