I have always wanted to get into night time photography, but once home from work I have found it hard to get into the mood to go out again. Most of the time I end up falling asleep on the sofa after a long and physically demanding day at work.
Shooting in the dark brings its own challenges as cameras much prefer to be working in the daylight. A tripod is a must after then its just down to trial and error as you experiment with different shutter lengths I can fire my shutter with an Infrared controller, which does make life a bit easier.
While it is in Torquay I really wanted to do a night time photo shoot, I decided to have my fist attempt closer to home and so waited until it was dark and drove the short distance to Goodington. After that I popped along to Paignton Seafront for a few more shots.
Practise makes perfect they say and I have learnt a lot tonight and will use that in my next night time shoot. I have perfected my sports and landscape photography, but my night time shooting is a work in progress.
