Not the best day weather wise to go out and take aerial photos, but I need more practice as far as being a drone pilot is concerned. I still do not have the confidence to let the drone get too far away from me, but I am sure I will in time.
I decided to give Walls Hill a try and after parking in the car park walked across the downs until I was a bout 50 yards from the cliff edge. This was the first outing for the purpose built case for my drone that I had to order from Hong Kong and came much quicker than I expected.
Systems go and I send the drone up in the air too my highest altitude to date, I think that is as high as I will ever really need to go, Sending it out over the sea it looked much further out that it actually was and in the end not as far out as I would have rally liked to have gone. But like I have said it’s a confidence thing that I need to over come.
Two different people came over and talked with me and took a real interest in what I was doing, it was pleasing as having to deal with someone complaining about the use of drones is another of my fears.
All I want to do is add another angle to my photography and the drone is going to give me endless possibilities’s and get shots I would otherwise not be able to get. I can’t wait to use it when the weather is better and the colours are so much more alive.
