TFF Views From The Forum Pages Torquay United Programmes
A very long time ago one Sunday morning I logged into the Torquay United forum I was a member on. Once again it was just full of members verbally abusing fellow members and I felt there had to be something better than this.
That same morning I created the Torquay Fans forum affectionately known as the TFF. Over the coming months the forum grew into a wonderful place with an amazing history and programmes room and a place where personal abuse was not tolerated.
Unlike most football forums in the UK, the TFF was seen as a friend by Torquay United and the TFF members were always keen and willing to chip in to sponsor players and help the club in anyway they could.
The TFF became the first and only football forum as far as I know to have two pages of its own in every home game programme; those pages were called View from the Forum. The pages were edited by one of the forums own members a man well known by the club Mr Leigh Extence who did a wonderful job in selecting the posts to use on the TFF pages.
Due to a number of very personal reasons I was forced to hand over my creation to someone else to run, sadly the forum today is a former shadow of the forum it once was. In its heyday it often had over 200 posts per a day, now it does not get that even in a month.
Many of the images I had put up on the TFF were all hosted by Photobucket who broke the links to all those images and demanded a large amount of money to restore them. I had long since then left the forum as I had set up Davesworld to post on and Davesworld suffered the same fate as the TFF when Photobucket took the action they did..
I no longer had access the account I used on the TFF (admin account) and was therefore not able to repair and replace all those lost images. It took me over four months to re host all the images that were on Davesworld onto another site and fully restore and rebuild it as it was before.
All the TFF Views From The Forum pages had been posted on the TFF but can no longer be viewed; it has taken me a very long time to be able to get access to the images that were hosted on the Photobucket site. I have now finally been able to get hold of them and did not want them to be lost forever and have decided to post them on here.
The images below will not be in the order they appeared in the Torquay United programmes and might not all be together as they once were, I may at some point try and get them in some sort of order.
