Berryhead Cycle Ride 14th March 2021
Due to the high winds and rain over the last few days I have not been able to get out for a ride as to be honest; I am a fair weather cyclist. While it was still a bit windy today and a few showers were about, I was determined to ride to Berryhead and back.
In my rush to get out I did not start the sports tracker app properly and was a bit disappointed when I got home to discover the ride had not been recorded and added to this months exercise carried out. The only saving grace is the bikes computer at least recorded the distance, time and speed etc.
This was a ride I did over three years ago that was a group ride organised by Sky, the bike then was just a normal bike and I remembered well having to push it up a steep hill as you approach Berryhead from the harbour side of the town.
I knew that was not going to be the case today since I converted my bike into an Ebike, something I am so glad I did after having to give the matter a great deal of thought. The car park at Berryhead was very busy and there were a good number of people there,
Only got shouted at once today, same old problem on a shared pathway, man and a woman walking two dogs, you come up behind them ring your bell as they are taking up the whole path and wait for the verbal abuse to start and it did believe me.
