Lions Club Boxing Day Walk Into The Sea 2021
Where does the time go? Was it really eleven years ago I last went and watched this great event? Mind you back in 2010 Boxing Day was a very cold affair and with such a cold spell even the pond In Victoria Park was completely frozen. You can view those pictures here

No frost today and the event went ahead in warm winter sunshine and beat any upcoming covid restrictions. I went down to the seafront nice and early and there were not a lot of people around at that time. There also were not a lot of people who would be taking part to be seen.
But come closer to the start time there were thousands of spectators and a very large number of participants many dressed up as Father Christmas.
It has been a horrible two years for everyone and an event like this got people out of their homes and just for a while a time to forget about what ever lies ahead for us.
A big well down to Paignton’s Lion Club, all the people who took part and all those who turned up to support the event.
